about

Straight to the point with snarling, anti-authoritarian, lyrics; this track sets an abrupt benchmark for what is to follow in the group’s career. Its vicious, brash chorus is conflicted by its spaced out, reverb licked verse combining heavy, post-punk nihilism with an entirely new form of indie-fuzz.

lyrics

Brainwashed kids on crack, film it for their show,
Protest songs are slack, feel the canyon grow
Lifeboats cry for help, stranded in the sea
Wave your countries flag...

CHORUS

MAKE / ME / CHANGE
SHIFT / THE / BLAME
MAKE / ME / CHANGE
SHIFT / THE / BLAME

BREAKDOWN

Lifeless souls on tracks, but commuters moan,
Sugar baby claps sat down on the throne,
Haunted building moans burnt down to a crisp,
Close your eyes it’s gone what did you expect?

What did you expect?

CHORUS

MAKE / ME / CHANGE
SHIFT / THE / BLAME
(The tower burns down and all that remains, are empty beds and lack of change,
Make a wish it will come true, close your eyes, count to two)

about

The Gallery Wakefield, UK

The Gallery, a four piece from Wakefield, are creating a new movement in Alternative/Rock Music that is birthed as a backlash to over saturated, dying lad rock. They aim to redesign what a guitar band can be and convert their post-punk nihilistic flavours with hooks and rock tendencies.

They have played Live at Leeds 2017, Tramlines 2017 & 2018 and Kendal Calling 2018.
